How to tighten "man-boob" skin?

October 17th, 2009

My boyfriend is extremely bothered by the way his chest looks. He has recently lost a lot of weight, and although he still has a ways to go, his issue now are his "man-boobs".

The thing is is that they’re not filled with excesse fat. It’s the saggy, stretched skin that’s left from him losing weight. He’s only 25 so is it possible for him to naturally tone and pull that skin back up without having to have surgery?

Also, how do you get someone to exercise when they’re in no shape to start?

I had lost 120 pounds. My excess skin across my midsection literally looked like an apron of flesh. My skin can come off of my abdominal wall. No amount of exercise would fix that. I had to go in for an abdominalplasty and liposuction. In the abdominalplasty they reattached my skin to the abdominal wall. AS far as my chest goes, I was able to get it to look normal through a lot of chest workouts. A muscled chest will erase the man-boobs (or Moobies as I like to call them).

I’d suggest that he lose the weight slowly and work on doing a lot of chest exercises. That will tone it up. If it doesn’t, he might need surgery to get the skin removed. If he lost a bunch of weight, his insurance might even pay for the surgery to remove the excess skin. Have hm SERIOUSLY look into it. My surgery was $7,000.00 in the clinic or $10,000.00 if I would’ve been knocked out completely in the hospital. I found out later that my insurance might’ve paid for it.

As far as your exercise question. It is best to either start with a diet or start with an exercise plan first. if you’re changing your diet, you don’t need to exercvise right away. If you are exercising you don’t need to diet right away. Once that person gets into an established healthy eating or heathly exercise routine, that si when they can start incorporating the other. So if your friend is too heavy to exercise, start witha diet and eventually incorporate exercise. By the way, there is no such thing as being too fat to exercise. I saw a show on TLC about a man who was 1250 pounds. He was bedridden but danced and girated in his bed for exercise,. he lost 400 pounds.

If breast enhancement pills do not work, then how is it my male to female trans friends are growing breasts?

October 17th, 2009

Its something I’ve really been mulling over, because I do have a few friends who are trans, and well they are male and skinny but are growing breasts. One of them actually has a B cup now. So if guys can grow bigger breasts, wouldn’t it be correct in saying women could as well?

What they are taking Estrogen. Women and men both have Estrogen in both of us but Women naturally more than Men. Men can create more estrogen naturally buy becoming obese. For some Reason the fat content has something to do with it. Well Women are supposed to have a little more body fat than men, Because of bearing children. Estrogen in your friends cases- The Estrogen pushes the levels of Testosterone in their body down. So the body develops as a Teen age girl. If you were loaded up with Estrogen It really wouldn’t do much at all. If you were taking something with Testosterone then you would start growing Facial hair and other things would start happening. You would end up looking like a Teen age boy. There are no Breast enhancement pills that work, they are just trying to make money off of people that are naive and gullible.

Will the doctor do Gynecomastia surgery on me since its been there for three years?

How to get rid of man boobs ?

October 17th, 2009

I have a little bit of man boobs. Just a little but its still visible. Its annoying at times and my friends always make fun of me. I need to get rid of these. I’m 13 by the way , if that matters.

In men, fat is stored first in the gut and the chest. You have to start by reducing your overall body fat with a lot of running and cardrio. It also helps to do chest exercises to broaden and tone the chest area.

At 13, I would suggest doing pushup exercises and running on the treadmill/elliptical more often.

How Safe is Sex During Pregnancy?

October 17th, 2009

When a woman becomes pregnant, one of the questions uppermost in the minds of the couple is whether they will be able to enjoy any sexual intercourse in the following months. Some couples dread pregnancies as it could put a dampener on their sexual life. But the good news is that pregnancy may not necessarily intervene in your sexual life at all. There are several misconceptions about having sexual intercourse during pregnancy and that is why couples develop wrong notions. However, most of these notions are quite unjustified.

The first thing one must understand is how pregnancy affects the body of the woman. Pregnancy occurs when the male sperm fertilizes the egg cell of the female. This fertilized egg is called as the embryo, which gets implanted in the uterus. Pregnancy brings about a host of changes in the woman, the first of them being the pause in the menstrual cycles. The embryo develops into the fetus. In order to protect the fetus, the amniotic cavity develops around it. The amniotic cavity is a fluid filled cavity meant for supplying the fetus with all the nutrients it requires for its development. At the same time, in order to prevent further fertilizations, the uterus opening, i.e. the cervix, is blocked off by a layer of mucus.

Now we know the changes that take place in the uterus when pregnancy occurs. Nature provides the growing fetus with all the protections necessary. The mucus layer cuts off the growing embryo from the rest of the outside world.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no harm in having sex when a woman is pregnant, and this could continue till late in the pregnancy. First and foremost, there is no way the penis or the seminal and vaginal fluids can come in contact with the embryo and cause any infections. This is because of the mucus layer that blocks off the cervix. Also for this very same reason, there can be no dislodging of the embryo inside the uterus in any manner.

However, care must be taken with the sexual positions that are adopted. The missionary position must be avoided, since in this position there is a tendency to lay more pressure on the uterus. The missionary position is the one in which the male lies on top and both partners are belly-to-belly in contact. Also the woman-on-top position must be avoided. Any other position in which pressure is not exerted on the woman’s uterus is acceptable.

It is necessary to speak to the doctor about sexual intercourse when the woman is pregnant. This is because though there are no technical problems with sexual intercourse during pregnancy, there can be some biological problems linked with the past of the woman. Like if the woman has had a premature birth in the past, then the doctor would advise the couple to refrain from penetrative sexual intercourse in the last three months of pregnancy. Women with miscarriages previously must not indulge in penetrative sexual intercourse during the first three months. And women who have a short cervix (this can be ascertained with a sonography test) must abstain from sexual intercourse throughout the pregnancy.

Yet sexual intercourse during pregnancy takes on a new meaning as the couple soon realizes. Since the woman’s body undergoes numerous changes – including the increase in the size of the breasts and the hips – the male partner may become more aroused. Hormonal changes may also induce the woman to become more libidinous during pregnancy. At the same time, on an emotional level, the partners develop greater love for each other in anticipation of their shared joy.

But the contrary of this case can also be seen. During pregnancy, some women might become too preoccupied with their thoughts to become interested in sexual intercourse. They may be intrigued by the changes in their bodies, and even scared of them to an extent. If such a situation arises, then it becomes the man’s responsibility to put the woman at ease.

Some couples could find sex during pregnancy too difficult to manage, due to the increase in the size of the couple. This could make the vagina difficult to access considering some sexual positions. The man may be reluctant to lie on top because of fear of harming the fetus, and the woman may not lie on top for fear of putting more weight on the man. Both of these situations could lead to difficulty in managing sexual intercourse.

Finally, it must be remembered that there are alternatives to sexual intercourse if things become too difficult. Mutual masturbation is one of the options. The couple can stimulate each other’s genitals by hands and lead them to orgasms. This could help relieve the sexual frustration. Oral sex can be performed without any problems. Though not advisable due to hygienic reasons, anal sex is also an option. But the most important thing is, the couple should develop stronger emotional bonds of love for each other. During pregnancy, it is best to make love with the mind than with the genitals.

Assessing Your Fat Loss Progress

October 17th, 2009

Copyright (c) 2009 Athleticbodysystem

In order to make progress you have to start somewhere. There is no point starting if you haven’t got a record of where you started.

Any body transformation DOES NOT just happen before your eyes and as a result many trainees become disheartened because they cannot ‘SEE’ any changes. Okay maybe there are no apparent changes other that a pound or two less on the scales. But wait. . if you had a picture or a measurement of the old you it would enable you to REALLY see the changes no matter how small.

In Order for ‘Before and After’ photos to be successful and accurate tools they must be repeatable! By that I mean don’t compare yourself when you were wearing a coat and you were up a tree or something. Take some DELIBERATE photos. Initial/Progress pictures must be taken in the same place, same room, same day, same time and of course wearing the same clothes. You must ensure you ate and drank similar amounts too! EVERYTHING must be the same! I know it may seem like a chore but mark my words these photos will be an invaluable resource later on for measuring your progress and they are also a great motivational tool!

Take the following pictures:

1) From the front, arms by your side not some stupid most muscular pose!

2) From the side, arms scissored i.e. one in front one behind.

3) From the back, again no double bicep back pose, nobody cares.

Wear something revealing! (yes it must show off all the unsightly bits BE RUTHLESS)

Make sure:

1) The lighting is the same and repeatable.

2) The same camera is used.

3) The clothes are sitting in the same place! (waist of shorts/bikini same distance from bellybutton on both occasions)

Another practical and motivating tool is girth measurements. i.e. measuring the circumference of a limb/waist/hips/chest. They are great because they give the user number that they can use and work on! Weight is your entire body; girth measurements get a little more personal and will inspire people to strive for more desirable measurements.

‘But won’t I get larger measurements if I’m lifting weights and I put on muscle?’

No, contrary to popular belief muscle does not just appear in a matter of days or even weeks! And trust me if you are training hard you will lose fat A LOT faster than you will gain muscle.

Girth measurements will measure the entire limb and associated increases or decreases in mass can be easily seen! For people above around 15% they are probably a lot better but they are useful for everybody.

Skin Folds can also be a very good tool and are my preferred measurement tool with any of my clients that are of suitably low bodyfat percentages. Skinfolds are reasonably accurate for calculating your percentage bodyfat but the folds themselves are actually the most valuable readings. The tell you a lot about the specific area without calculating the actual percentage. Skinfolds measure the skin plus the underlying fat tissue of 7 sites and then through calculations that consider age and sex, reveal your bodyfat %. This reading is not entirely accurate but it is repeatable! The main hang up i have about skinfolds is that you can’t take your own measurments, you need a calipers and the same person has to take the readings each time to ensure repeatability. Skinfold measurement is a skill and requires 1000’s of practice runs to become fluent with the callipers. If you have access to an experienced trainer that will do a skinfold on you. GO FOR IT! If not, use the above tools and you’ll do fine.

Precious Time Call Pregnancy

October 16th, 2009

Preparation for Pregnancy

I can imagine that you are probably thinking about having a baby at this time (that is why you are reading this article, isn’t it?). As a mother I can tell you right away that pregnancy is a very exciting time in a woman’s life. But it can also be a time filled with questions and concerns. You may ask, “Why it is important to be ready for pregnancy?” and, “What is the big reason for doing this?” Well, read on to find out. Conception occurs about 2 weeks before your period is due. That means that you may be more than 3 weeks pregnant and not even know that you’re pregnant! This is important because your baby is most sensitive to harm in the period from two to eight weeks after conception. This is when your baby’s facial features and organs, such as the heart and kidneys, begin to form. Anything that you eat, drink, smoke or are exposed to can affect your baby. That’s why it’s best to start acting as if you’re pregnant before you are sure that you have conceived, if you have been trying to get pregnant.

Your First Visit to Your Doctor about a Pregnancy?

It is better to see your doctor when you’re just thinking about getting pregnant. You can talk about your diet, bowel habits, lifestyle, weight control and any concerns that you have. Try to visit your doctor in the year before you want to get pregnant. A thorough physical examination performed at this time may reveal unknown factors in your health that might have a significant effect on your ability to fall pregnant or successfully carry a child through to birth. High blood pressure, diabetes, back disease and gynecological problems are examples of some that can be found. A Pap smear test should be performed if you are due for one. A blood test for, and a check of your family history of, Rubella (German measles) infection will be arranged and a vaccination given if necessary. You and your partner (father-to-be) will be asked about your medical history because that is very important for the progress of your pregnancy and your future baby. Some medical problems, including genetic diseases such as Cystic fibrosis and sickle cell anemia, run in the family. These problems aren’t caused by anything you do. Talk with your doctor about your risk factors and whether screening tests are needed. If you are over 35 years of age, a talk with your doctor is highly recommended. You’ll both also have the chance to ask your doctor any questions you may have at this exciting time. Conception, when life begins, is a miraculous process. Today, we know more than we ever have about its wondrous ways, but many aspects still remain a challenging mystery. Once fertilized, the egg has seven days to get down the fallopian tube, enter the cavity of the uterus and burrow into the lining so that it is covered by nutrient-rich blood of its mother. This is probably the most hazardous journey any of us will ever take. Failing to complete the trip leads to certain death. To begin the trip, but be delayed means either death or an ectopic pregnancy. Getting to the uterus too quickly probably also results in failure and death. Even if this developing new person makes it to the stage of implantation into the lining of the uterus, 50% will miscarry in the very early stages.

Shettles’s System to Increase The Odds of Having a Boy or a Girl in Your Favor.

What can you do to improve your chances of having a girl next time, if you already have two sons and you want to have a girl? Is there any way to increase the odds in your favor of having a boy or a girl? There is no simple way in which the sex of a child can be guaranteed, but the following system (known as Shettle’s System) may help. Using this system is free; it absolutely does not cost you any money, only your determination and desire. At best, this system increases the chances of a child of a particular sex from 50% to 75%. It is definitely NOT a guarantee of success, but it is currently the most well-known method for influencing gender without the use of medical procedures. The method is based on the premise that men produce two types of sperm, the X (female) and Y (male). The Y sperms are smaller and more delicate, but faster, than the X sperms (which are bigger, tougher and slower), the system is based on providing an environment which is more likely to help the type of sperm that matches your preference to get to the egg first.

There are 6 basic recommendations to follow:

1) Timing – the most critical aspect of the Shettle’s method is to time when you have intercourse. The closer to ovulation that you have sex, the better your chances of having a boy, because ovulation provides the most optimal time for conceiving, and male sperm are faster. If you have intercourse about 3 days prior to ovulation, you may maximize the chances for the slower but tougher female sperm, which are able to survive until the egg appears.

2) The pH of the woman’s tract is also important. A more alkaline environment is generally favorable to fertility and, therefore, favors the quicker, but more delicate, male sperm. For a girl, a douche of very diluted water and vinegar is done just before intercourse. For a boy, a douche of very diluted water and baking soda just before intercourse is indicated.

3) A woman’s tract is more acidic, the closer to the entrance of the vagina that the measurement is taken. Therefore, intercourse with shallow penetration may favor the conception of a girl, and intercourse with deeper penetration is believed to favor a boy being the result.

4) Orgasms in females produce a hormone which makes their vaginal tract more alkaline and therefore more favorable for boys.

5) A high sperm count favors boys. To increase sperm count, Shettle’s method recommends that you abstain from intercourse for up to three to four days before ovulation. Also, men should wear boxers rather than tight underpants. To reduce the sperm count, men should take a hot bath just before intercourse and couples should have as much intercourse as possible until 3 days before ovulation.

6) Drinking a cup of coffee just prior to intercourse tends to favor a boy.

To sum up all of the above:

To Increase the Chance of Having a Girl:

Use a vaginal douche, consisting of 20 ml white vinegar in 500 ml of water, ten minutes before having sex. Have sex frequently in the seven to ten days before you ovulate. Have no sex from one day before ovulation until ten days after ovulation. Your partner should ejaculate just inside the vagina, and not deeply inside. Your partner should withdraw immediately after ejaculation. It is better for the woman not to have an orgasm.

To Increase the Chance of Having a Boy:

Ten minutes before sex, use a vaginal douche consisting of 5 g of baking soda in 500 mg of water. Have no sex from the end of your period until the day ovulation occurs. Have sex twice daily from the day of ovulation until four days afterward. Your partner should ejaculate deep inside the vagina. Your partner should withdraw immediately after ejaculation. It is better for woman to have an orgasm; ideally just before ejaculation.

Good luck!

Symptoms of Early Pregnancy

These are some of the first signs of impending motherhood. You may experience all, some, or none of these symptoms during the early stages of your pregnancy:

1 )Tender, swollen breasts: If you’re pregnant, your breasts will probably become increasingly tender to the touch, similar to the way they feel before your period. A tingling sensation will be felt in the nipples. Once your body grows accustomed to the hormone surge, the pain will subside.

2) Darkening of your areolas: If the skin around your nipples gets darker and the small lubricating glands become more prominent with small bumps appearing, you may have successfully conceived. But, this may also signal a hormonal imbalance that is unrelated to pregnancy or be a left-over effect from a previous pregnancy. It can even be related to the consumption of oral contraceptive pills.

3) Frequent urination: Once the embryo implants and begins producing the hormone ‘human chorionic gonadotropin’ (HCG), pregnant women start to urinate more frequently. This settles down after the twelfth week. But, later in pregnancy, the increased size of the womb puts more pressure on the bladder and frequent urination occurs again.

4) Dark patches on forehead and cheeks: These patches are caused by hormonal changes that affect the pigment cells in the skin (they are called ‘chloasma’). Such changes may be also be a side-effect of the contraceptive pills. The navel and a line down the center of the woman’s belly may also darken. These pigment changes fade somewhat after the pregnancy but those areas will probably always remain darker than before.

5) Food cravings: Food cravings can, sometimes, be a sign of pregnancy. Don’t rely on them as a sure symptom (it may be all in your head, or even a sign that your body is low on a particular nutrient), but if the cravings are accompanied by some of the other symptoms on this list, the chance is that you are pregnant.

6) Implantation bleeding or cramping: You may experience implantation spotting, a slight staining of a pink or brown color, as well as some cramping about eight days after ovulation. You might also see some spotting around the time you expect your period; this is caused by the egg burrowing into the endometrial lining. 7) Fatigue: High levels of the hormone progesterone can make you feel tired; as if you’ve run a marathon, when all you’ve done is to put in a day at the office. Tiredness is a hallmark of early pregnancy, though probably not a sure symptom on its own.
8) Morning sickness: Normally, morning sickness won’t hit you until a few weeks after conception. A lucky few escape it altogether. But, you may begin feeling nauseated and queasy as early as a couple of days following conception. This may not just occur in the morning; pregnancy-related nausea can be a problem morning, noon, or night. You may also notice that your sense of taste changes. Some women say they have a metallic taste in their mouth, others that they cannot stand the taste of coffee, tea or a food they usually like.

9) Your basal body temperature stays high: You will notice this only if you’ve been charting your basal body temperature. If your basal body temperature has stayed above the cover line for 18 days in a row, you’re probably pregnant. Basal body temperature is your temperature taken the first thing every the morning before you get up, usually about 6 a.m. It is important to keep taking it at the same time. The temperature can be taken orally, vaginally or rectally – just stay with the same method for the entire cycle. On the picture, you can see the graph of basal temperature taken during one cycle. It shows the effect of an ovulation; the temperature rise in the middle of cycle. If you are pregnant, the temperature rise should last for 18 days in a row.

10) A missed period: This is the surest sign of pregnancy in a woman of childbearing age who usually has regular periods. If you’re usually pretty regular and your period is late, it’s worth trying a home pregnancy test.

11) A positive home pregnancy test: Now, you should make an appointment with your doctor to confirm the good news.

Congratulations!

Tried Every Technique to Lose Your Stubborn Belly Fat?

October 16th, 2009

No matter what you do the belly fat still hangs over your pants. We see all these wonderful commercials on T.V & on the radio about “How To Lose Your Belly Fat” in one day using their fantastic diet pill. Change the channel on the T.V. to see muscular men & women claiming that when they used the new improved “ab-belt”, “belly fat remover”, “ab-rocker thingy” they all lost that unsightly stomach fat in a matter of days, not weeks.

Believe me ladies & gentlemen these types of products do not work overnight as they are advertised. The only way to your going to lose that ugly belly fat is to follow a regime of healthy food & exercise.

To be able to reduce the fat from your stomach, you need to stop doing so many different types of abdominal exercises.

The truth is, losing belly fat does NOT occur by doing exercises that target the stomach area only. A certain amount of abdominals exercises are great and they help you strengthen your core and help you in maintaining a healthy back. The fact is that direct abs exercises should only be a small portion of your workout routines.

To get rid of that belly fat, you need to concentrate on exercising your big multi-joint areas & work on the largest muscles, such as the legs, back & chest. Targeting these big muscle areas will greatly increase your metabolic rate, which in turn helps to stimulate an increase of fat burning hormones within the body.

It is also very important to eat a well balanced diet with lots of healthy carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

One fitness program I have been using is by a well renowned Certified Nutrition Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer by the name of Mike Geary.

Mike has developed a training program to help reduce that ugly belly fat & keep it off for good.

Discover how to lose that stubborn stomach fat & release those six pack abs.

Male-to-female Transgendered People

October 15th, 2009

Transgender adults are not a new theory or issues in society. The fact of sex change operations and the rights of individuals that identify with the opposite sex, however is a new battle today. In past years individuals that were labeled one gender, but felt they belonged to the opposite gender were shunned and regarded as weird or abnormal. It is only recently that a term has been assigned, Gender Identity Disorder.

Many of the people living in the body of the wrong gender feel trapped and alone. Most are ashamed and afraid because of society’s harsh criticism and outcast techniques. There are many terms and names that have been assigned to transgender individuals, which can be considered derogatory, and for the use of exploitation in most cases. Transgender adults are considered an umbrella category in which there are many classes of individuals. One of the largest classes of transgender individuals are male-to-female transgendered people, who have breasts and other secondary sex characteristics typical of an adult female, but who have not undergone genital reassignment surgery. They are born males but identify with the female class and most often have characteristics of females. Generally a transwoman is a male with characteristics of a female that eventually begins to live as a woman. Most of them have more feminine characteristics and sometimes will even have female genitalia as well.

In some cases male-to-female transgendered people will undergo hormone replacement therapy and a breast implant to help with their life as a woman. This has a drastic affect on their lives and they face many issues in society that can devastate their life. Society does not have a good understanding of these individuals and they are often targets of cruel and harsh punishment. There are many jokes and issues of poking fun and very subservient treatment to transgendered people.

Shemales are a hot topic in the pornography industry. Many people are curious and will subscribe to websites and magazines to see what they are. This is a fantasy of many to be with an individual that exhibits characteristics of two different genders. Around the country there are also escort services that pride themselves in the specialty of shemale escorts. There is big money in the industry and many transwomen fall prey to the lures of financial gain.

Here are some facts about male-to-female transgendered people:

1. Male-to-female transgendered people do not feel like they are only half-female or half person. Most are offended by the media portrayal of the incorrect lifestyle. These individuals are normal people that you would not recognize as transgendered if they did not tell you

2. Most transwomen never go reconstructive genitalia surgery because they feel it is not necessary in their true identity.

3. Contrary to popular belief most male-to-female transgendered people are comfortable with the fact that they have male genitalia but live as a female.

4. Transwomen do not work any different or have lessened ability because they live in different clothes.

5. Regardless of the movie industry and pornographic portrayal most of them do not illicit illegal sexual acts or engage in fooling their partner.

6. According to the American Psychological Association there are approximately 1 in 30,000 individuals in America that transition from male to female and 1 per 100,000 that transition from female to male.

7. Male-to-female transgendered people are not gay, they simply feel that they are in the wrong gender body.
