The Oldsmobile Lives

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

The Oldsmobile may have gone to retirement with the GMT360-derived Bravada introduced in 2002 being its last after General Motors phased out the brand in 2004, but the Oldsmobile still lives – at least in the boob tube and in the big screen.

Thanks to Wikipedia, we get to see how the Oldsmobile has become among the most favorite cars to make cameo appearances in television and in the movies, some of the most memorable of which were at:

• Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978) – the stretch Toronado Limo was used.

• Any Which Way You Can (1980) – When Clint Eastwood arrives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for the big fight, his opponent and friend William Smith is driving a brand-new, red 1980 98 Regency sedan which is featured prominently in the end of the film.

• Lethal Weapon (1987) – Murtaugh drives a 1986 Oldsmobile Delta 88. 1985 Oldsmobile 98 Regency is seen as the villain’s vehicle. Another Oldsmobile appearance was made in the sequel of the film in 1989, where Murtaugh is driving his wife’s brand new Custom Cruiser station wagon, which is slowly and methodically destroyed throughout the movie.

• Turner and Hooch (1989) – this comedy stars Tom Hanks as a police officer who is in charge of a dog that destroys the interior of Hank’s character’s 1989 Oldsmobile 88 Royale Brougham.

• The Hunt for Red October (1990) – Alec Baldwin can be seen getting out of a dark-colored early 1980s 98 Regency just before he enters the White House briefing.

• Demolition Man (1993) – Set mostly in the year 2032, a bright red 1970 Olds 442 is discovered by police officers John Spartan (played by Sylvester Stallone), Lenina Huxley (played by Sandra Bullock) and Alfredo Garcia (played by Benjamin Bratt) in the slums beneath San Angeles. Using an old elevator, the car bursts up through the floor of a modern-day Oldsmobile dealer, and Stallone’s character drives it out of the showroom onto the street, beginning an extensive car chase scene. Many other GM cars and concept vehicles were used in the film including the GM Ultralite, which was featured prominently. Ironically, since Oldsmobile folded in 2004, the Oldsmobile dealer set in the year 2032 is now an anachronism. The dealer was also still using the early-90s version of the Oldsmobile logo, which was replaced only 3 years after the release of the film.

• Get Shorty (1995) – John Travolta’s character is incredulous at being given an Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan for a rental instead of his requested Cadillac, to which the rental clerk responds, “You got the Cadillac of minivans,” a line oft-repeated outside of the movie.

• Fargo (1996) – late 1980s Oldsmobile cars including the Cutlass Ciera and Ninety-Eight Touring Sedan were featured, as William H. Macy’s character was general manager of his father-in-law’s Oldsmobile dealership.

• The X-Files (1998) – an Oldsmobile Intrigue was heavily used by the characters as part of a promotional tie-in between General Motors and the movie’s producers. Earlier on in the series, Oldsmobile Cutlass Cieras were featured.

• The Matrix Reloaded (2003) – many Oldsmobiles are used as cameo vehicles, especially during the famous highway chase scene. Even though the characters never drive an Oldsmobile in the film, there was interaction between Oldsmobiles in the scene. There is one part when Agent Johnson jumps on top of the front of an Aurora, completely destroying the front end and causing the car to do a front flip and land on its roof. Another scene involves the Twins gunning down an Intrigue and shoving it into the divider wall, causing it to do a barrel roll and land on its roof.

And just last year, the Oldsmobile once again graced the screen in the hit movie Cars (2006) where Piston Cup Championship Sportscaster Bob Cutlass, voiced by Bob Costas, is a 1999 Aurora.

The Oldsmobile is best remembered as one of America’s longest producing brand of automobile, made famous by its legendary Rocket V8 engine and popular selling cars, including the Cutlass Surpreme, Ciera, 98, 88 and Toronado.

The Oldsmobile can also be best remembered for producing some of “the firsts” in automotive industry, including the first speedometer, chrome-plated radiator and other Oldsmobile parts, automatic choke, as well as the first fully automatic transmission and first mass-produced, high-compression OHV V8 – and the list goes on.

Finasteride: the Amazing Side Effects That Stop Hair Loss

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Originally developed as a treatment for prostate gland enlargement, Finasteride is a drug that is now also used for the treatment of male pattern baldness (male hair loss).

During the 1980s and early 1990s large amounts of time and money were spent on research trying to find a cure for enlarged prostate gland in men. The condition was and still is very common, it affects about half of all men in their 60s and possibly 95 per cent of all men by the age of 80. As a man gets older the condition progressively worsens as the prostate enlarges putting increased pressure on the bladder. Early symptoms may show up as a difficulty maintaining urine flow and the need to urinate frequently. This progresses to more painful and serious conditions such as infections of the urinary tract and the development of bladder stones.

By 1993 medical researchers had found that the condition was caused by a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It then became clear why the condition was only found in men, as DHT is created from the male hormone testosterone by the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase (As a side note, DHTs’ only known positive role is to enlarge the male genitalia during development of the foetus). Once the mechanism of how and why the prostate was being affected a drug called Finasteride was developed that prevented an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase from converting testosterone into the damaging DHT.

The drug was extremely successful at treating prostate gland enlargement and soon became used on a large scale. This was when the amazing finasteride side effects were discovered, for it was observed that Finasteride was actually preventing male pattern hair loss in the patients being treated. This was a remarkable breakthrough, backed up with compelling statistical evidence.

It is now generally accepted that DHT causes hair loss, although the actual mechanism that causes the condition is still unclear. One theory is that DHT interrupts the hairs normal growth cycle by shortening the growing phase (Anagen) of the hair and lengthening the resting phase (Telogen).

Once the link between DHT and hair loss was established it opened the floodgates with companies trying to produce the most effective form of anti-baldness drug. Research soon found that a much lower dosage of the drug, about one fifth of that required for treating prostate gland enlargement was required to stop hair loss. This was good news for creating a safer drug but there are still a number of side effects that should be considered before use. These side effects include erectile dysfunction, loss of libido and gynecomastia i.e. the enlargement of the breasts in men. The manufacturers claim that these side effects will affect less than 2% of users.

In December 1997 Finasteride was approved as safe for use in treating male pattern baldness by the American Food and Drugs Administration (FDA). Finasteride is now probably the most a very effective drug for preventing hair loss in men but should be taken with caution as the possible side effects can be long lasting. Some doctors can also prescribe Finasteride for women but it should never be used by pregnant women or women who may become pregnant as its side effects can cause defects in the unborn foetus.

Nolvadex (tamoxifen Citrate) Profiles by Medpharmacare

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Active Life: 5-7 days

Drug Class: Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (Oral)

Average Dose: 10-30 mg/day

Acne: Yes

Water Retention: No

High Blood Pressure: Rare

Liver Toxic: low

This remedy is somewhat different from others since it is not an anabolic/androgenic steroid. For male and female bodybuilders, how-ever, it is a very useful and recommended compound which is con-firmed by its widespread use and mostly positive results. Nolvadex belongs to the group of sex hormones and is a so-called antiestrogen. The normal application of Nolvadex is in the treatment of certain forms of breast cancer in female patients. With Nolvadex it is pos-sible to reverse an existing growth process of deceased tissue and prevent further growth. The growth of certain tissues is stimulated by the body’s own estrogen hormone. This is especially true for the breast glands in men and women since the body has a large number of estrogen receptors at these glands which can bond with the estro-gens present in the blood. If the body’s own estrogen level is unusu-ally high an undesired growth of breast glands occurs. However, in healthy women and particularly in men this is not the case. Despite this, it is mostly male bodybuilders who use Nolvadex, and fewer women. At first sight this seems somewhat inconceivable but when taking a closer look, the reasons are clear. Bodybuilders who take Nolvadex also use anabolic steroids at the same time. Since most steroids aromatize more or less strongly, i.e. part of the substance is converted into estrogens, male bodybuilders can experience a sig-nificant elevation in the normally very low estrogen level. This can lead to feminization symptoms such as gynecomastia (growth of breast glands), increased fat deposits and higher water retention. The antiestrogen Nolvadex works against this by blocking the es-trogen receptors of the effected body tissue, thereby inhibiting a bonding of estrogens and receptor. It is, however, important to un-derstand that Nolvadex does not prevent the aromatization but only acts as an estrogen antagonist. This means that it does not prevent testosterone and its synthetic derivatives (steroids) from converting into estrogens but only fights with them in a sort of “competition” for the estrogen receptors. This characteristic has the disadvantage that after the discontinuance of Nolvadex a “rebound effect” can occur which means that the suddenly freed estrogen receptors are now able to absorb the estrogen present in the blood. For this reason the combined intake of Proviron is suggested (see Proviron.)

Nolvadex is also useful during a diet since it helps in the burning of fat. Al-though Nolvadex has no direct fatburning effect its antiestrogenic effect contributes to keeping the estrogen level as low as possible. Nolvadex should especially be taken together with the strong an-drogenic steroids Dianabol and Anadrol 50, and the various test-osterone compounds. Athletes who have a tendency to retain water and who have a mammary dysfunction should take Nolvadex as a prevention during every steroid intake. Since Nolvadex is very affective in most cases it is no wonder that several athletes can take Anadrol 50 and Dianabol until the day of a competition, and in combination with a diuretic still appear totally ripped in the. limelight. Those who already have a low body fat content will achieve a visibly improved muscle hardness with Nolvadex.

Several bodybuilders like to use Nolvadex at the end of a steroid cycle since it increases the body’s own testosterone production -which will be discussed in more detail in the following-to counter-act the side effects caused by the estrogens. These can occur after the discontinuance of steroids when the androgen level in relationship to the estrogen concentration is too low and estrogen becomes the dominant hormone. A very rare but all the more serious problem of Nolvadex is that in some cases it does not lower the estrogen level but can increase it. Another disadvantage is that it can weaken the anabolic effect of some steroids. The reason is that Nolvadex, as we know, reduces the estrogen level. The fact is, however, that certain steroids – especially the various testosterone compounds-can only achieve their full effect if the estrogen level is sufficiently high. Those who are used to the intake of larger amounts of various steroids do not have to worry about this. Athletes however, who predominantly use mild steroids such as Primobolan, Winstrol, Oxandrolone, and Deca-Durabolin should carefully consider whether or not they should take Nolvadex since, due to the compound’s already moderate ana-bolic effect, an additional loss of effect could take place, leading to unsatisfying results.

A rarely observed but welcome characteristic of Nolvadex is that it has a direct influence on the hypothalamus and thus, by an in-creased release of gonadotropine, it stimulates the testosterone pro-duction in the testes. This does not result in a tremendous but still a measurable increase of the body’s own testosterone. This effect, however, is not sufficient to significantly increase the testosterone production reduced by anabolic/androgenic steroids.

The side effects of Nolvadex are usually low in dosages of up to 30 mg/day In rare cases nausea, vomiting, hot flashes, numbness, and blurred vision can occur. In women irregular menstrual cycles can occur which manifest themselves in weaker menstrual bleeding or even complete missing of a period. Women should also be careful not to get pregnant while taking Nolvadex. It is important for fe-male athletes that Nolvadex and the “pill” not be taken together since the antiestrogen Nolvadex and the estrogen-containing pill nega-tively counterfeit each other. The normal daily dosage taken by athletes corresponds more or less to the dosage indications of the manufacturer and is 10-30 mg/day To prevent estrogenic side ef-fects normally 10 mg/day are sufficient, a dosage which also keeps low the risk of reducing the effect of simultaneously-taken ste-roids. Often it is sufficient if the athlete begins this preventive intake of Nolvadex only three to four weeks after the intake of anabolics. Athletes who have tendencies toward gynecomastia, strong water retention, and increased fat deposits with steroids such as Dianabol, Testosterone, Anadrol 50, and Deca-Durabolin usually take 20-30 mg/day The combined application of Nolvadex 20-30 mg/day and Proviron 25-50 mg/day in these cases leads to excellent results. The same is true for athletes who are in competition, and for women. Women, however, should do without the intake of Proviron or at least reduce the dose to one 25 mg tablet per day. Unfortunately, in most cases, a very pronounced gynecomastia (“bitch tits”) cannot be reduced by taking Nolvadex so that often surgery is required, surgery which is not paid for by health insurance. First signs of a possible gynecomastia are light pain when touching the nipples. The tablets are usually taken 1-2x daily, swallowed whole without chewing, with some liquid during meals.

Nolvadex unfortunately is a very expensive compound. Some ex-amples: In Germany one hundred 20 mg tablets cost $192. In Spain the prices are fixed by the govern-ment and it makes no difference whether it is an original Nolvadex or a generic compound. One hundred 20 mg tablets cost approx. $60 in Spain. In Greece the same quantity costs about $85. The athlete should look for the 20-mg version since, from its price, it is the most economical. On the black-market, mostly the foreign Nolvadex can be found costing about $2 – 3 per 20 mg tablet. Origi-nal Nolvadex tablets can be easily identified since, on the front, ICI (name of the manufacturer) is stamped and, on the back, the name “Nolvadex”. Most of the time the tablet strength is also imprinted. Ten tablets are included in an unusually large push-through strip. In the U.S. original Nolvadex is packaged by the manufacturer, ICI Pharma, in small, white plastic boxes with a childproof screw cap. So far there are no fakes of Nolvadex and its generic products.

Instant Weight Loss Strategies That Anyone Can Use

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

You’ve probably heard it a hundred times before but I will say it again, incidental activity is very important in the process of losing weight as you can burn more calories than relying on dietary means alone.

Fat is burned from the body when cells oxidize to release energy in the form of exercise or movement. When the exercise is done slowly to moderately then the majority of energy is taken from the fat stores.

The loss of fat comes from fat cells all over the body, not from one or more specific area’s so spot reduction of a certain area is not possible. The main priority of this article is to show you the quickest and safest way to lose fat from the body.

The key to effective aerobic training that burns off the maximum amount of fat is long-term consistency not intensity. It doesn’t matter if you run a mile, jog a mile or walk a mile you will burn exactly the same amount of calories.

The best exercise by far for the purpose of fat-loss is fast walking either indoors on the treadmill or outdoors. What many don’t know is that walking produces a greater percentage of fat loss as opposed to jogging or running.

Other aerobic activities are the treadmill, bike, climber or any other training gear found in or out of the gym.

Walk or exercise until you are mildly puffing and hold that rate until the allotted time. If your aerobic activities leave you panting or breathless, your going too hard, your energy is coming from your carbohydrate reserves and not from your fat stores.

Try fast walking for one hour a day every day of the week if you are able.

Here are some of the benefits of Fast Walking.

* Easy to Perform

* Most Conventional

* All Natural Body Movement

* Doesn’t Cause Injuries

* Can Be Done Anywhere

* The Best Minimal Effort Exercise for Fat Loss

Research shows that regular, brisk walking is one of the best exercises we can do for overall fitness. It suits people of all ages and fitness levels, it’s easy to get started and there’s no complicated technique to learn or equipment to buy.

Walking is an excellent way to get fit because it uses nearly all the muscles and, as you have to carry your body weight, you can get a good workout from it.

It’s also safer on the joints and the back than most other forms of exercise because you’re not jumping up and down, so the impact is low.

Studies have shown that taking a daily 20-minute walk can reduce the risk of heart attack as much as 50%, it also reduces high blood pressure and helps to burn fat to keep weight under control.

Walking and other weight bearing exercises (Strength training) helps to increase bone mass, which protects against osteoporosis and bone fractures.

In the first two weeks, go for a 20-minute walk every other day and then increase this to 40 minutes. At first try to do five 20-minute walks per week totalling 100 minutes a week. Once you get used to the regular exercise, increase this to 40 minutes for five times a week.

You can then gradually increase this as you see fit, if you want to walk every day for 40 minutes or even an hour so be it. Remember the more you walk the more fat that will be burned off.

The best pace for fitness training will make you slightly breathless, but you should still be comfortable and be able to carry on a conversation.

As you get fitter, you’ll want to stretch a little harder to keep your heart rate up. Try lengthening your strides, increasing your pace. Keep your shoulders back, your chest lifted and your tummy pulled in when you walk, hold your head up for open, easy breathing.

Practical Tips…

* If your feeling stressed, try counting your steps repeatedly from one to ten as you walk, this helps some people achieve a meditative effect and can be a great tension reliever when practiced over a full 40 minutes.

* Time yourself, measure the distance or increase the gradient to make the workout more challenging. Drink plenty of fluids during and after your walk.

* Make safety your first consideration. Don’t walk after dark except in well-lit, busy places. Start the walk slowly, and then gradually increase the pace.

So, go ahead in all other activities try to move, move, move. Try parking the car further away from your destination so you can walk the extra distance, hide all your remote controls so you have to get up and change the channels manually.

These all help burn those extra calories and body fat from your frame.

You And Daniel Webster

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Daniel Webster was one of the greatest orators of all time. They say he even out talked the Devil to save a man’s soul. What he said wasn’t as important as the way he said It. But one sentence from his speeches sticks in my mind. “Let us,” said Daniel Webster, “in this our day and generation perform something worthy to be remembered.”

How many of us are living up to this challenge? Most of us spend our time like sleepwalkers – the blind leading the blind. We’re afraid to stick our necks out. Afraid that if we do, it will just get us into trouble.

All around us now we see trouble. Children are starving. Men and women are unemployed. Families are falling apart. Old people are unhappy. Our cities are getting unbearable. Our air isn’t fit to breathe. Litter pollutes our surroundings. But what are we doing about it? We complain a lot. Or we pull the shades, turn on the boob tube, and lose ourselves in make-believe, so we won’t have to see what’s going on outside.

What good is building up your own confidence to where you think you can move mountains, if you’re too lazy to bend over and pick up a piece of paper in the street. Or don’t have time to help a neighbor in distress. Getting excited about life and becoming happy are only a part of the Dare to Be Great philosophy.

Daniel Webster knew what he was talking about. He knew that we are only here on earth for a day. And so he asked us to do something worthy of being remembered in that brief time. It’s popular to laugh at the Boy Scouts and their daily good deed. Some people will sneer at anything. But how many of us can boast of a good deed a week or a month or even a year? I believe anybody can become a success. But the richest man on earth is a failure if he measures success by what he does for himself. So we should all reach out and touch someone with a positive word, deed or action. It may be as small as saying, “Hello”, and giving a smile to someone who is lonely. Or you could volunteer at a hospital or old age home for a few hours. The greatest gift you can give is yourself and your time. Showing gratitude to others when they show kindness to you is a great gift that you can give back to them, it shows honor and respect for their act.

What are you doing that’s worthy to be remembered? So think about what Daniel Webster said. The next time you’re tempted to complain, ask yourself, “If I don’t do something to change things, who will?” No one. But you can change the world if you believe in yourself, and be remembered with love and gratitude by those who come after you.

Mr. Glenn W. Turner was founder of Dare To Be Great the first motivational company to teach the masses the secret to success and happiness. He was over 35 years ahead of his time. Today we hear of “The Secret” on every daytime talk show. Over 1,000,000 people were touched by this philosophy, and this has been passed on to many of their children. Today many proudly contact Mr. Turner to tell him how Dare to Be Great changed their lives and families to the better.

Bible Versus Quran Versus Sciences: (10) the Semen

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

One of the expanded dogmas of mankind is that the Quran is quoted or borrowed from the Bible. This creed is established upon studies of many prejudiced intellectual scholars

In this series of articles (1-10), it is obvious that the Quran is quite different from the Bible. It is very clear that the Noble Quran preceded the sciences in many aspects while the Bible contradicts with the sciences.

In the present topic of Semen, one may ask this: Is the Quran quoted from the Bible? The Bible which talks about the Egyptian men’s Semen which are like that of the horses’ Semen or the Quran which says that 1) man is not created from the entire semen, but only a very small portion of it “Nutfah” and 2)It is the man’s Semen that determines the sex of the baby.

Before dealing with the topic of the Semen in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is essential to remember that the total words of the Bible are 788,280 while total words of the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise. In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times the Quran to exhibit any topic.

Back to the Semen, it is mentioned 8 times in the Bible and 3 times in the Quran.

The Semen in the Bible:

Genesis 38:9

“But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so whenever he lay with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother.”

An interesting biblical method to spill the semen on the ground but I do not know why the producing offspring would belonged to his brother and not to him?

Leviticus 15:16-18 and 32:

“16 When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening.

17 Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening.

18 When a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen,”

The law of unclean after emission of semen but again, why should the man is unclean till the evening? What if he has emitted his semen at the evening?

Leviticus 22:4

“If a descendant of Aaron has an infectious skin disease or a bodily discharge, he may not eat the sacred offerings until he is cleansed. He will also be unclean if he touches something defiled by a corpse or by anyone who has an emission of semen,”

Deuteronomy 23:10

If one of your men is unclean because of a nocturnal emission, he is to go outside the camp and stay there.

Numbers 5:13

And a man lie with her carnally (with emission of semen), and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;

The above verses give other laws about the regulation of emission.

However, the most interesting verse is that which talks about:

Whose Semen was like that of horses?

Ezekiel 23:19-21

19 Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. 20 There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission (SEMEN) was like that of horses. 21 So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.

Because I am Egyptian, I do not know if I have to be proud of this verse that describes the Egyptian men’s Semen as that of horses. However, I did examine some thousands of semen samples and have never seen any similarities between the Egyptian Semen samples and that of horses at least volume-wise!

The Semen in Quran

Many subjects are mentioned in the Quran in the way of inviting people to have faith. All people are called upon to turn their attention to their own creation. The Quran often reminds how man came into the world, which stages he has passed through, and what his essence is with special interest on resuscitation and the afterlife.

Semen is mentioned in the Quran three times and “Nutfah” (drop or part of semen) is mentioned 11 times

Who Creates Semen?

In Surah 56:57-59, there are three questions for the intellectual one.

[57] “It is We Who have created you: why then, do you not accept the truth?

[58] Have you ever considered the Semen which you emit?

[59] Is it you who create it? Or are We the Creator?”

These three questions are not present in the Bible in respect to the topic of Semen.

In Surah 80:17-23 there is a logic and reasonable link between the creation of man from the sperm and his death and his resuscitation in the afterlife.

[17]” Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah?

[18] From what stuff hath He created him?

[19] From a “Nutfah” (drop of Semen): He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions;

[20] Then doth He make his path smooth for him;

[21] Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his Grave;

[22] Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).

[23] By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.”

In Surah 76:2, man is created from part of the Semen

“Verily We created Man from a “Nutfah” (drop) of mingled sperm, in order to try him: and We made him hearing and seeing.”

“Nutfah” means what is left of a liquid in a bucket whose contents have been emptied. Thus the expression refers to a portion and not to all the semen. The emitted semen contains in a single ejaculation, along with its other constituents, sperms numbering of about 500 million. One out of hundreds of millions of sperm fertilizes the ovum.

In Surah 53: 45-47 and Surah 36-40; it is the semen of man which determines the sex of the baby.

Surah 53:45-47

[45] That He did create in pairs, male and female,

[46] From a “Nutfah” of semen when lodged (in its place);

[47] That He hath promised a Second Creation (rising of the Dead);

Surah 75:36-40

[36] Does Man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)?

[37] Was he not a “Nutfah” of sperm emitted (in lowly form)?

[38] Then did he become a clinging “Alaquah”; then did (Allah) make and fashion (him) in due proportion.

[39] And of that “Nutfah” He made two sexes, male and female.

[40] Has not He, (the same), the power to give life to the dead?

In the above verse, it is “of that “Nutfah” (part of semen) that Allah made the two sexes, male and female.

Hence human male is responsible for the birth of a male child or a female child. The human female is not responsible for the sex determination of the child. However, in many Muslim countries the woman is blamed for the birth of a female child as in these countries they welcome the arrival of a male child.

The year 1956 is considered to mark the beginning of modern human Cytogenetics. The sex of the fetus is determined by the father’s sperm. The female ovum contains only the X chromosomes. If the sperm, or the emitted drop of semen contains the Y chromosome, then the baby will be a male, otherwise the baby will be a female.

None of the information above exists in the Bible or any other religious book. None of this was known until the discovery of genetics in the 20th century. Indeed, in many cultures, it was believed that a baby’s sex was determined by the female’s body. That was why women were blamed when they gave birth to girls. Thirteen centuries before human genes were discovered, however, the Qur’an revealed information that denies this superstition, and referred to the origin of sex lying not with women, but with the semen coming from men.

There is no way Prophet Mohammad peace be upon him could have guessed it all 1400 years ago. It had to be a Divine Revelation from Allah Almighty.

After all of that, look at the disputed man:

16:4

[4] He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer!

Surah 36:77-79

[77] Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? Yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!

[78] And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: he says, “Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?”

[79] Say, “He will give them life Who created them for the first time! for He is well-versed in every kind of creation!

Back to our main topic, Is the Quran quoted from the Bible? And which book preceded sciences? The book which talks about the Egyptian Semen which are like that of the horses’ Semen or the Quran which says that 1) man is not created from the entire semen, but only a very small portion of it “Nutfah” and 2)It is the man’s Semen that determines the sex of the baby.

Gynecomastia Treatment

If you’re a teenage boy or grown man with gynecomastia, you’ve probably been looking high and low to find the best treatment for your condition. It’s embarassing, sometimes painful, and downright problematic. It also tends to look unattractive on human males, so it’s natural for you to seek out treatments.

First let’s look at what gynecomastia really is. It’s a known medical condition which usually affects teenage boys going through puberty. It can also affect elderly men because they also experience large hormonal imbalances as they advance in age.

Gynecomastia will cause the boy’s or man’s chest area to swell, making it appear as if he has breasts. This condition is often referred to as “man boobs” or “puffy nipples”. Usually an area about an inch and a half wide, right under the man’s nipples will become swollen and tender. Sometimes the nipple will excrete milk too.

Now there is no commonly used gynecomastia treatment, because the condition tends to go away on it’s own. With 90% of the cases in teenage boys for instance, gynecomastia will disappear on it’s own within one to three years without any special treatment or medications.

Many men and boys don’t want to wait years for the problem to go away though, instead they want a treatment for the condition that will work quickly. In these cases, the most common way of treating gynecomastia is to have plastic surgery done. The surgeon will perform a simple proceedure which involves removing the extra fat and glands between the muscles and nipple on the man’s chest.

Other forms of gynecomastia treatment might be recommended though, if the condition is caused by other factors. Sometimes for instance, gynecomastia can be caused by alcohol, illegal street drugs, and some prescription drugs.

If the problem is caused by alcohol or illegal drugs such as marijuana, then the best course of treatment would be to stop using those things. If gynecomastia is caused by prescription drugs instead though, then the treatment would likely involve your doctor either taking you off of the drugs which are causing the condition, or changing to a different type of drug which doesn’t have that side effect.

There is another type of gynecomastia however, and this one tends to be much more common – particularly in men who are past puberty but not yet near elderly ages. This is technically false gynecomastia, and it produces the man boobs or puffy nipples as regular gynecomastia does, yet you won’t usually experience tenderness or milk production.

False gynecomastia is caused by simply gaining weight. Your body has additional stores of fat on it, and it’s keeping some of that extra fat on your chest. The best treatment for this type of gynecomastia of course, is to lose weight.

Technically just losing weight won’t always solve the problem either. Since the false gynecomastia is caused by fat deposits on your chest, the true treatment must include losing actual fat from your body too. You can easily lose “weight” in the form of water loss for instance, but that won’t burn any actual excess fat from your body and thus it’s not a viable treatment for the actual gynecomastia problems.

Spot Reduction for Ab Training – Just a Myth?

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Normal 0

Many new entrants to the gym will walk into the gym with the exciting goal of doing crunches until their abdominal muscles are a svelte collection of rippling muscles, cut out of the former dough that was their midsection. They’ll enter the abdominal training area – despite being 30% body fat – and do an hour of crunches, several times per week. Over the months, their midsections will become harder – under the fat – but to the naked eye, they’ll still be sporting the same spare tire they started with. And in some cases, it might stick out a bit further, due to the increased size of the abdominal muscles underneath the layer of fat.

There is no such thing as spot reduction. The body fat, which covers your body, does so in a fairly uniform fashion. While there are some areas, which tend to hold more body fat reserves (waistline in men and legs/glutes in women), those brand new abdominal muscles are never going to emerge until the body fat over them – and on top of the entire body – is removed. New trainers to the gym don’t realize this fact. They walk right past the cardio machines and enter the ab area, day after day. Little do they know that spending a few hours each week in the cardio area would make their abdominal effort display so much more effectively. Even more so, their chest, arms, back, and legs would look much better too, with lower body fat levels.

There is one misleading factor, which causes people to believe in the myth of spot reduction. Let’s say you’re a fairly well trained athlete, sitting at 12% body fat. You begin training abdominals religiously. They will begin to look better and better. They will stand out. You will look leaner, even if you are not. Your midsection will look tighter, even if the body fat is he same. This is because at 12% body fat, the muscle growth will create separation. Separation is defined as the disconnection of muscle groups. The more advanced goal – definition – comes when a single muscle group is able to be separated visually, and only occurs and very low body fat levels.

There is no such thing as body fat spot reduction. Only a combination of weight training and cardiovascular exercise will lead to a highly muscular body with low enough body fat levels for the muscle groups to be displayed.

whats a fast way to loose belly fat and them man tits in a month?

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

im going to 11 grade this skool year and im not fat but i have dose nasty details, i wana go back to school all confident, i weight 160 pounds so im not concerned about my wright just to harden my body but how to do it with out anny materials just you and a matt??

Take up swimming for an hour a day every day at a local swimming pool and I mean do laps don’t just play maro polo. Then reduce any fat and carbohydrates from your diet.

Any intensive cardiovascular exercise will burn calories if you stick to it and diet properly. But swimming is the most effective cardio exercise you can do. If not that then take up jogging, aerobics, boxing/martial arts, cycling anything along those lines.

If you really want to burn fat fast you need to do intense and sustained cardio exercise at a minimum of 30 minutes a day. If you are really out of shape you can work out in ten minute intervals and gradually increase the intervals you work out each week.
